We are a husband and wife team with a love of libations, food, and of course TRAVEL!

TukTukEats was born out of desire to connect visitors with locals, to encourage people to move from tourists to travellers, and to highlight the best of Vancouver. If youโ€™ve been to Thailand, you may know what the word Tuk Tuk means. Tuk Tuks are small three-wheeled vehicles (picture an oversized motorbike) that provide one of the main modes of transportation in Thailand. One of my favourite parts of travelling in Thailand is watching countless locals pile on one of these single tuk tuks. They wedge themselves side by side maybe packing upwards of 10 people into a vehicle designed to carry three. No matter how many people are already on this tiny vehicle, it always seems like there is room for one more. I love that concept. Travelling for me is trying new ways of getting around, trying a new language (even a little), conversing with locals, eating local food, and shopping in the local markets. Hence, TukTukEats: a business concept that provides tools for travellers to broaden their experience of our incredibly diverse world.

When we aren't travelling you will find us at our home in the Lower Mainland (about 35 minutes outside of Vancouver, BC. Canada). We spend our free time trying to keep our plants alive, listening to podcasts, mixing cocktails, or cooking with our friends and family!

All the photos (unless explicitly stated) have been taken by us. If you would like to use or reference an image, we don't mind but please give credit.

You will notice in many of our city guides we recommend using Airbnb for accommodations. If you haven't used Airbnb before, use this link to get a discount on your first booking.
